Martin returns to Wates to head up pre-con in the West
Jenny Martin has been appointed as preconstruction director, leaving Morgan Sindall Construction after almost seven years.
Martin, who enjoyed a stint at Wates as bid manager between 2015 and 2017, is returning to the firm to bring to bear her track record of winning public sector work.
Martin’s patch will include the North West and the West Midlands. “I’m absolutely thrilled to be rejoining Wates and can’t wait to get started,” she said.
“There’s a high level of expertise across the region, and the wider business. I’m looking forward to harnessing that to help drive the business forward and deliver real value for our clients.”
Wayne Flannery, managing director at Wates Construction West, added: “Jenny’s appointment is a key step in shaping the future of our business in the West.
“We are already delivering a strong pipeline of successful projects. Jenny’s leadership will be instrumental in helping us continue to secure work by building on our reputation for quality, professionalism, and ability to work in true partnership with clients. We’re delighted to welcome her back to Wates.”
Founded 125 years ago, Wates remains family-owned and had a turnover of £2.4bn in 2024, employing 6,000 people.
