Coming in with 22,000 sq ft of floor space, the fashion retailer’s latest shop is four times larger than its previous location off Peter’s Lane.

Tessuti has taken over the former New Look unit at 90 Paradise Street in Liverpool One, after New Look moved to South John Street.

With two floors filled with luxury brands and new designers, Tessuti is courting fashion fans regardless of whether they are shopping in the menswear, womenswear or kidswear collection.

The store features a ‘Sneaker ER’, where you can deposit your favourite kicks for a luxury clean, as well as space for in-store events and collaborations. Tessuti worked alongside Liverpool-based digital and production agency Liquid on the design of the new space, which incorporates both photos and videos to spotlight the latest fashion campaign.

Tessuti teased that the first of these campaigns would include Liverpool stars Stephen Graham, Miles Kane, Chelcee Grimes, and Abbey Clancy.

The new flagship is a “huge moment” for Tessuti, according to the brand’s director of brand and customer connection, Chris Rowan.

“Liverpool is an urban hub for international fashion retailers, so upsizing and relocating within the city’s leading retail and leisure destination was a natural next step,” Rowan said.

“We feel confident that it is the ideal home for our flagship location, and are excited to offer Liverpool One’s visitors our most stylish project yet.”

In negotiating the new space at Liverpool One, Tessuti represented itself. Metis and CBRE acted for landlord Grosvenor.

Regarding the store opening, Grosvenor managing director of asset management Alison Clegg said: “Tessuti’s commitment to Liverpool One, through its relocation within the destination and decision to make the new store its global flagship, strengthens our position as one of Europe’s leading retail and leisure destinations.

“The impressive growth trajectory of Tessuti within Liverpool is a great indication of the potential for success and expansion of other brands that join Liverpool One.”

If Liverpool City Council allow some joined up thinking they will realise that the more high-rise/high density residential we have in the city centre the more our shops will flourish.

Trust people on these comments boards to try and find a negative spin to something good happening in Liverpool.

So they’re owned by JD. What does that matter? I know what’s being inferred.

Lots of businesses are owned by others.

Harvey Nicks used to be owned by Burtons…

It’s good that the opening of a JD sports can cause such excitement. Such an important sign in these difficult times.

Lunch at Chavasse park with its delightful elevated view of the Royal Albert Dock. Liverpool One offers the ultimate shopping experience. Tessuti will not regret it.

I’m sure Tessuti are a nice store and all that but please let’s not get carried away with a store opening. This is not the most important development to happen in Liverpool this year.
