Flexible space lined up for Liverpool Waters

Peel L&P is converting the ground floor of No. 10 Princes Dock for its Arrive concept, already operational at MediaCity.

The developer and landlord has invested £3.3m in the refurbishment of flexible, managed workspace in MediaCity’s Blue and Tomorrow buildings, and now intends the Liverpool set-up to be completed in February.

The 5,000 sq ft ground floor space was previously occupied by a government department, the Disclosure & Barring Service, which is moving to space on upper floors within the building.

OBI, which was appointed by Peel L&P to design and project manage the Salford redevelopment works as well as support with the rebrand of ARRIVE, will now roll out the next phase of ARRIVE’s expansion into Liverpool Waters.

ARRIVE in No.10 Princes Dock will provide space for more than 60 desks and will feature a boardroom, meeting rooms, a kitchen breakout area and focus rooms where occupiers can take a suite from four desks up to 12.

Occupiers from MediaCity and Princes Dock can also use meeting rooms in the sister facility at the other end of the East Lancs Road.

Liza Marco, senior asset manager, Liverpool Waters said: “We’ve been watching the growing success of the ARRIVE concept at MediaCity and we’re delighted Liverpool Waters will be the next location to offer the same tried and tested experience to start-ups and small to medium enterprises in the heart of a thriving waterfront destination.

“As we enter uncertain economic times the demand for flexible space, where companies can quickly scale up and down, has never been more in demand and we’re sure it will be a great success.”

Ellie Stewart, workplace consultant and interior designer at OBI, said: “The aim of our designs for ARRIVE at Liverpool Waters follows the same ethos of the workspace that has been successfully created at MediaCity: a design-led workspace that promotes wellbeing and collaboration, supported by high-quality meeting and breakout spaces, in tandem with proactive onsite service and an exciting events calendar.”
