Progress for Trafford Park Hotel refurb
Trinity Renovations has been appointed to lead the conversion of the former hotel on Third Avenue into apartments.
Applicant Food & Tipple, headed up by Anil and Govind Naran, won consent to redevelop the grade two-listed Trafford Park Hotel into 15 flats and build a 20-apartment new-build block next door in 2024.
The company acquired the building from Ashley Hotels, which had earlier shelved plans for a 121-bed hotel that featured the retention of the listed building and construction of a five-storey new-build extension.
Now, it is expected that a programme of refurbishment and conservation work is due to begin this August, according to planning documents submitted to Trafford Council.
The works comprise external conservation and refurbishment works, including repair and maintenance of the building envelope, façade cleaning, masonry repairs, selective brick replacement, lime mortar repointing, and terracotta repairs.
The redevelopment project was designed by DV Architects. Coda Planning advised Food & Tipple on its proposals.
The building, constructed in 1902 and located on the corner of Village Way and Third Avenue, previously operated as a pub under landlord Enterprise Inns, before closing in 2009.

That’s great news an important part of the Heritage infrastructure in the area . Trafford Park Heritage based at St. Antonys Centre across from the Hotel , welcomes this good new.

so glad to hear it’s not going to be pulled down regardless of listing status . Just a shame it can’t be renovated back to pub / hotel . In is former glory condition this would be outstanding without loosing its interior features as well to much of our beautiful buildings are not being preserved . The Victorians built Britain we are just knocking it down !☹️
