Ellesmere Port launches property marketing campaign
Occupiers, agents and developers in and around Ellesmere Port have joined with the local authority to fund a four-year marketing proposal for the town.
The joint marketing initiative will "promote the quality commercial space available within Ellesmere Port as well as the variety of leading companies already located there".
CB Richard Ellis, DBH, Elltech, Legat Owen, Mason & Partners, Northern Trust, Peel Holdings and the North West Development Agency are among the companies that are assisting Ellesmere OPort & Neston council.
MC2, a Manchester-based PR and marketing agency, has been appointed to develop and implement the marketing strategy over the next four years.
David Hughes, principal economic development and regeneration officer for the council, said: "A few years ago we embarked on a similar campaign to help promote a selection of sites available for development within the district and we had great results.
"What we are trying to achieve now is to build on the success of previous funding from public and private sector investment, and create a long-term strategy for marketing Ellesmere Port as a successful business destination as well as its appeal as a place to live, and visit."
He went on: "This will be achieved by raising awareness of the world-class companies already located here such as Vauxhall and Shell, not to mention the fact that Marks and Spencer has identified a location at the town's Cheshire Oaks retail park, for potentially its largest investment in a UK store in the past 15 years. In addition, the campaign will work to promote the excellent stock of office and industrial accommodation available within the borough and the possible benefits to businesses that relocate to the area."
