WSP reaffirms Place North MIPIM partnership for 2026

For the second consecutive year, the global engineering giant will team up with Place North for the international property expo in Cannes as a prestige partner.

After a successful MIPIM in 2025, WSP has reaffirmed its partnership with Place as it looks to build on the foundations laid this year and position itself as a thought leader in finding solutions to the industry’s most complex challenges.

WSP’s Kit of Parts concept generated interest at MIPIM 2025. Kit of Parts is an approach to sustainable construction that champions the standardisation of building practices and embraces a move away from traditional construction towards manufacturing solutions in order to speed up delivery and boost productivity.

Like last year, WSP has joined the Place North MIPIM delegation at its highest level as a prestige partner in order to continue the conversation about innovation. This level of partnership guarantees the business a prominent place on the UK Pavilion stand, as well as invitations for Place’s packed agenda of conferences and networking events out in Cannes.

Andy Temple, senior operations director at WSP, said: “We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with Place North for MIPIM 2026. This year, we’re focusing on sharing insight and thought leadership, championing the North’s role in solving global challenges.

“It’s a valuable opportunity to showcase the expertise of our people and connect with those shaping the future of our cities and communities.”

WSP has offices across the North, including hubs in Carlisle, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Sheffield, Sunderland, and Teesside.

The group is known for its expertise in energy, planning, engineering, transport, infrastructure, development, and the environment.

The firm’s major projects include McLaren and Arlington’s £2.5bn York Central, Middlesbrough Development Corporation’s transformation of Gresham, and Renaker’s latest skyscraper cluster at Great Jackson Street in Manchester.

Sandra Robinson, director of strategic growth at WSP, added: “We’re proud to be back working with Place North at MIPIM 2026 as part of our ongoing commitment to shaping thriving, future-ready places.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to engage with clients and collaborators, share bold thinking, and showcase the innovative solutions WSP is bringing to the table—particularly around sustainable growth, digital transformation, and unlocking the potential of the North.”

WSP is the latest company to rejoin the Place delegation for 2026 to take advantage of its most substantial MIPIM offering yet.

Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner at Place North said securing WSP’s return to the delegation is a testament to the enhanced package for 2026.

“Having a firm like WSP move so quickly to confirm a second year of support is a real testament to the team and the experience and opportunity they gave to WSP this year.

“Prestige Partner status offered a variety of touch points both on the profile side but also in terms of access and business development.

He added: “A big thank you to Andy Temple and Sandra Robinson for their quick, decisive decision making and their ability to see the opportunity. We look forward to supporting WSP to win work at MIPIM.”
