Davos expands Liverpool pipeline with another 200 homes

The development arm of TJ Morris has lodged plans for an apartment scheme on Greenland Street, building on the momentum it has generated over the last year and increasing the number of homes it has in planning or under construction to 905.

Davos Property Developments, which is headed up by David Little, the son in law of TJ Morris owner Tom Morris, wants to deliver 199 homes off Greenland Street near the site of the recently consented Baltic Station.

The project would feature 110 two-bed apartments and townhouses with the balance being one-bed units.

Designed by Falconer Chester Hall, the scheme would rise to 13 storeys and feature coworking space, a gym, and a rooftop terrace.

“This is an imaginative development that provides a pleasing contemporary take on the best of the Baltic’s industrial architecture.  The buildings in the area show themselves through their detailing and we are doing the same here,” said project architect Robert Brym.

“A key appeal of the site is its proximity to Baltic station, which connects the area to the entire city-region via its metro network,” Brym added.

“It’s the first example of the development dividend that the station is expected to deliver.”

Among the wider professional team advising on the scheme are Savills on planning, CHBS, Garry Miller Heritage Consultancy, Orion Fire, Futureserve, Prime Transport Planning, Hydrock, and GIA.

Davos’ other Liverpool projects include a 27-storey tower featuring 262 apartments at King Edward Triangle – the first building within a wider tower cluster – a 250-unit student scheme on Kempston Street in the Fabric District, and 88 flats on Duke Street.

Glad to see “local guy made good” investing in his home town. Any chance he could get involved in other stalled projects, like the old Police HQ, or the Garden Festival site?

Looks a decent development and another part of Baltic regenerated and providing jobs and homes, get those spades in the ground

By GetItBuilt!

If anyone actually knew what Tom Morris looked like I’m sure he’d be carried down the street on people’s shoulders, such is his commitment to Liverpool. Well done, that man!

Good to see developments but not great architecture given the adjacent building

Another bland project from FCH

By Dr Ian Buildings

Interesting to see these bland schemes getting picked up again. Would be nice to see them redesign.
