Cantt Pak given go-ahead to replace Birchwood office with shed

A 75,000 sq ft warehouse will replace Washington House, an office building in Warrington.

Warrington Council’s development management committee voted in favour of Cantt Pak’s scheme this week.

The approval paves the way for the demolition of Washington House and the construction of a modern industrial unit to “meet significant occupational demand for mid box units” in the area, according to a market report prepared by B8RE.

Located off Birchwood Park Avenue, Washington House has been owned by Jersey-based Cantt Pak since 2011 when it acquired the asset with neighbouring Allday House. PIN Property is Cantt Pak’s appointed asset manager.

WSP advised on planning and design matters. To learn more, search for reference number 2025/01250/FULM on Warrington Council’s planning portal.
