Caddick picked for £5m Crewe warehouse

Quorum has chosen Caddick to deliver a 112,000 sq ft speculative distribution facility at Weston Road, Crewe.

The development, named Q110, takes up half of a 12-acre site acquired by US-based Cabot Properties and Quorum Estates last year.

It will include space for 20 HGV trailers, 10 dock-level loading bays, and around 7,400 sq ft of office space. The scheme, situated between Junction 16 and 17 of the M6 is managed by Quorum, and is due to complete in autumn 2018.

The scheme is being developed speculatively with no occupier lined up as yet.

Another building on the site, a 92,000 sq ft industrial development, has been let to Warehouse One.

Knight Frank and Legat Owen are joint agents for the project. AEW Architects designed the warehouse.

Rob Taylor, partner and head of North West logistics and industrial at Knight Frank said: “Q110 will deliver a great quality building in a prime location which will serve latent demand along the M6 corridor.

“With the improved infrastructure links to the M6 motorway that have been completed in the last 12 to 18 months, allied to the strong occupational story and the future HS2 development coming to the town, Q110 will be able to take advantage of all of these ingredients and deliver a successful industrial development.”
