Bruntwood secures Armstrongs for Plaza

Armstrongs Solicitors has doubled the size of its Liverpool headquarters in a 22,575 sq ft move to Bruntwood’s Plaza.

The law firm, founded in Liverpool in 2006, has moved its 150-strong team from its current base at 5 Temple Square to the fifth floor of the Old Hall Street landmark, in a deal that takes occupancy levels at the Plaza to 95%.

Matt Lee, head of sales at Bruntwood, said: “This is a major letting with an established and respected business, so understandably there was much competition across the Liverpool market. It is testament therefore to the enduring strength and appeal of the Plaza that Armstrongs Solicitors has chosen it as their new home.

“This instinctively feels like a perfect move for all concerned and Armstrongs can expect to dovetail well with the existing businesses in the building.”

Armstrongs offers a range of commercial, private and personal injury claims services. Specialist areas include commercial litigation, conveyancing, professional negligence, workplace accidents and defamation.

Bruntwood paid £24.5m for the Plaza in 2004 and relaunched it in 2007 after a substantial redevelopment. In March 2016, it put the building up for sale through CBRE but failed to find a buyer amid the economic uncertainty of the summer.
