Winckworth Sherwood set for Manchester
The law firm has announced it will open a new office in Manchester after appointing three lawyers from Field Fisher Waterhouse's planning and environmental team.
The new appointments are Karen Cooksley, Colette McCormack and Lindsay Garratt, who all have experience in housing, transport, energy, waste and leisure.
Winckworth Sherwood said McCormack will be based in Manchester but did not disclose details of where in the city she will be based when contacted by Place.
Both McCormack and Garratt were trainees in Cooksley's team when she was head of public law at Masons. The trio have worked together for over a decade.
Cooksley will now head Winckworth Sherwood's planning team based in London, which includes existing partner Sara Hanrahan and Anjana Ghosh, who both specialise in urban planning and major projects.
Roger Fitton, managing partner, said: "I am delighted that Karen, Colette and Lindsay will be joining our existing planning team. They are well known and well respected in many of the areas that the firm already practices in and will add considerable weight and depth to those areas."
