West Tower restaurant will be ‘highest in UK’

The Beetham Organisation will open its Panoramic restaurant on the 34th floor of West Tower in Liverpool city centre in February 2008.

As its name suggests, Panoramic will boast 360° views across Liverpool, the developer says, including views of the Welsh hills and Manchester's Hilton hotel, also built by Beetham.

Beetham claims the Liverpool restaurant will be the highest in the UK. Chris Marshall, former head chef at the Radisson hotel next door, has been hired to head up the restaurant.

The venue, at the top of the residential and office tower, has undergone a £1m investment and was designed by Richard Eastwood of R2 Architects.
