Roberts Vain Wilshaw recruits director from Knight Frank

Dave Comer has joined the Warrington-based chartered surveyor as a director in its business rates team.

Comer was previously an associate director at Knight Frank’s Manchester office. He began his new role at Roberts Vain Wilshaw in March.

As a director in RVW’s business rates team, Comer is charged with handling complex rating cases, managing a growing list of clients, and using the firm’s Astrius Data platform to spot new opportunities.

“I’m delighted that  Dave has joined us,” said Richard Roberts, managing director at RVW.

“We know he’s a great operator from working with him in the past and it continues our strategy of bringing in ‘best in class’ people into the business,” Roberts said.

Comer voiced his enthusiasm for his new role and the company’s data capabilities.

“The level of information and opportunity provided by the new data platform is quite staggering and I’m looking forward to help them grow the business further,” Comer said.

RVW specialises in advice on business rates, acquisitions and disposals, and L&T. It was formed in 2019 and has a staff of 15. RVW is Place North West’s business rates expert, contributing a regular Insight column analysing the latest developments in the field.
