Mileway appoints UK managing director

After four months as interim managing director, Andrew Jones’ role at the last-mile logistics property company has become permanent. Jones is based in Mileway’s Warrington office.

Jones joined Mileway in 2020 as a regional manager, becoming regional director of the North West and Yorkshire in January last year. Prior to Mileway, he had worked at European industrial REIT Hansteen Holdings and Ashtenne.

Thomas ten Bokum, the chief real estate officer at the Netherlands-based company, praised Jones’ work ethic.

“Since joining Mileway, we have been impressed by his dedication and leadership in helping to grow our UK business and establish a strong company culture,” ten Bokum said. “We are committed to identifying and growing talent from within Mileway, and I’m particularly proud to see this reflected in Andrew’s promotion. We look forward to Andrew taking on an expanded role and leading the UK business.”

Mileway has 7,000 leases in the UK. It owns and operates property in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden as well.
