Already on Place Yorkshire you can finds news of planning consent for a £140m residential project by developer Glenbrook; a major letting to Lloyds; and proposals by Placefirst in Halifax.

Place North East has coverage of a public sector framework win for Hydrock; the Department for Transport’s plans for reopening the Northumberland train line next year; and Beech Holdings securing £20m development finance for an office-to-apartments scheme in Newcastle.

In addition to rolling news from across the North, Place will be working with clients to raise their profiles and feed their business development pipelines, using formats made popular on Place North West, such as:

Dino Moutsopoulos, commercial director of Place North, said: “By fostering collaboration across the North, we want to play our part in an era of inclusive growth, leading the conversation, and offering a powerful platform for city leaders to share their messages.

“Radical collaboration and openness are needed at this moment for the North to maximise the further devolution from central government that is coming.”

Inaugural Place North partners will be announced in the coming weeks.

Our events calendar for 2023 includes activity to coincide with UKREIIF in Leeds during May in association with Lexington, Placefirst, SMR Architects and Hydrock.

Place North is in Cannes for MIPIM this week, where on Tuesday Morgan Sindall Construction and Place co-hosted an opening drinks reception to mark both the start of the expo and the beginning of Place Yorkshire, Place North East and the parent Place North websites.

Senior local government figures from across the largest Northern cities took part in a panel debate and shared their forecasts for the economic and political outlook.
