Pegasus picks Handy as director
Simon Handy joins after 18 years at BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Oxford office to take up the helm as planning director in Manchester.
Handy will be based at Queens House off Queen Street in Manchester alongside 52 employees and 12 town planners.
Simon’s role is a newly established one, with the hire made to support growing demand for Pegasus’s planning services for residential and commercial projects.
Simon has experience working on the Wirral Local Plan and Pegasus’s Levenshulme estate portfolio.
Simon Handy, Manchester planning director at Pegasus Group, said: “I’m excited to be starting this new chapter with Pegasus, where I look forward to supporting the growth of the planning practice in Manchester.
“Our strength and breadth of expertise across our planning teams is exceptionally strong, and I look forward to playing my part.”
Seb Tibenham, executive director of planning at Pegasus Group, added: “Simon’s appointment further strengthens our planning capability in the North West.
“His leadership experience, combined with an impressive track record, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence across the region and the Midlands.
“We’re excited to have him join the team at such a dynamic time for Pegasus.”
In addition to the Manchester appointment, Clare Preece has been appointed as director of planning in London.
