Peel plans new hotel at Trafford Centre

Peel Group has submitted plans to build a four-star 210-room hotel next to the Trafford Centre, Manchester.
The application for the £30m development includes a 500-seat banqueting and conference facility, meeting rooms, a 200-seat restaurant and bar area, spa, gym and swimming pool facility for guests.
If given planning approval, Peel hopes to open the hotel in 2010.
Peter de la Perrelle, Peel Hotels director, commented: "This will be the first four-star hotel at the Trafford Centre. It's ten minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from the city centre, and 40 minutes from both Leeds and Liverpool."
