Parkinson joins Muse as estates director

Leah Parkinson has been charged with crafting and delivering place management strategies for the developer’s North West, Yorkshire, North East, and Midlands offices.

Parkinson has joined Muse as estates director from Zenith Management, where she was the head of client relations. At Zenith, Parkinson honed her skills in handling the process of launching a new space – including construction handover and resident onboarding.

Prior to Zenith, she worked at Grainger and Rendall & Rittner.

Parkinson is due for a busy first year at Muse, with the developer aiming to have 12 projects on site before the end of 2025. In 2026, another 15 are set to come onto site, representing a total GDV of £465m.

Further down the pipeline are a series of projects from Muse’s £54m Habiko venture, a partnership with Homes England and the Pension Insurance Corporation. These include up to 240 apartments at Time Square in Warrington, 350 flats by Chester’s railway station, and 300 homes in Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter.

Stephanie Smith, head of residential for the developer, mused that Parkinson’s hire was well timed.

“We are excited to have Leah’s strength and experience as part of our team as we continue to focus on the long-term stewardship within the communities we develop,” Smith said.

“Her attention to place management strategy and customer care will be a valuable addition to our projects across the country,” Smith continued.

“Leah will be pivotal in guiding our estates management approach, working closely with our partners and regional teams to ensure that we are delivering the best possible neighbourhoods where people can be proud to live and work.”

Parkinson added: “With an exciting pipeline of transformative places across the country, I am looking forward to working with Muse’s partners and local teams to ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding places that are thoughtfully designed neighbourhoods which prioritise quality, heart, and identity, and place people at their core.”

Muse is part of Morgan Sindall Group, which reported a revenue of £2.4bn for the year ending 30 June. At that time, Muse’s order book was valued at £4.6bn thanks to projects in Wythenshawe, Blackpool’s Talbot Gateway, Oldham, Bradford City Village, and Durham’s Aykley Heads.
