Kingsway fills up as occupiers sign for 90,000 sq ft

Ropemaker Properties has let two warehouses totalling 90,000 sq ft at Kingsway Business Park in Rochdale, advised by JLL, P3 and Colliers.

Kitchen contractor Nobilia has taken a 55,075 sq ft unit at Plot K of the park, while digital security provider Gemalto has agreed a deal on a 35,000 sq ft building. Both new tenants have signed at £6.50/sq ft on 20 and 12 year leases.

Nobilia and Gemalto join other nearby occupiers including JD Sports, Eon and household textile supplier Cleland McIver Lifestyle, and the deals leave only one 75,100 sq ft unit available at the estate.

Rob Kos, senior surveyor at JLL, said: “It has been a great success agreeing two deals on strong lease terms and at the quoting rent proving that schemes like Plot K, which have quality space and a strong location, are able to capitalise on the high demand in the region.”
