New signings for Bolton’s Market Place
Agora Shopping Centres' £40m Market Place in Bolton has secured further tenants in the form of Jane Norman, Claire's, Moss Bros and Zumo.
High street women's fashion brand Jane Norman is to lease 2,000 sq ft, Claire's accessories will take 1,150 sq ft, men's clothing retailer Moss Bross is taking 3,200 sq ft, while smoothie bar Zumo will operate from a kiosk in the main hall.
The new tenants will join retailers such as Principles, Warehouse, Lush, Starbucks and Carphone Warehouse in the newly refurbished 96,416 sq ft shopping centre, which is due to open this autumn, as well as existing stores already open and trading including Debenhams, Next, River Island, Topshop/Topman and JD Sports.
Shopping centre manager Rod Neasham said: "We are delighted that retailers of this calibre have recognised the potential of Market Place shopping centre, now that the innovative restoration is close to opening. We have succeeded in providing the quality of retail space which has attracted high street names who were previously unrepresented in Bolton. With retailers like Zara and H&M already signed up, this next tranche of pre-lets further proves that Market Place shopping centre has shifted perceptions and created a buzz by providing a new home for fashion in Bolton."
Kevin Leaver, senior development manager at Warner Estate, which asset manages the Market Place shopping centre, said: "We will shortly be handing over the first of the units to the retailers for fitting out and the scaffolding will begin to come down in May."
Tushingham Moore and CB Richard Ellis are joint letting agents.
