MVS expands into Manchester

National building services firm, MVS Group, is expanding with the opening of its first office in Manchester to complement its long-established Midlands head office.

The new regional base at Pall Mall Court on Kings Street, will enable MVS to develop new partnerships in the region, as well as extend support offered to existing clients, providing a dedicated regional team for projects in the North West.

Over the coming months, MVS will be looking for local supply chain partners and talent with proven industry experience to grow the regional team and network.

The regional team will be headed up by Ben Cohen from Manchester, who has recruited from Torison Group as regional operations manager. He said: “With MVS’ broad project experience and significant growth in recent years, it is a natural progression for the company to set up a base in the North West region and I’m excited to be heading up the team in my home city.

“Manchester is the ideal location for the regional office, right in the heart of the Northern Powerhouse. With continued and growing investment in construction and regeneration in the North West, this strategic move further supports the company’s growth strategy and its central location will allow for ease of access to our customers across the UK.”

David Massey, managing director of MVS, said: “We’re really pleased that Ben is joining MVS having worked closely with him on recent projects alongside the Torsion Group. Ben is exceptional in both his role and attitude and brings with him over 10 years’ experience and knowledge of the industry. We look forward to building upon the strong foundations laid by our Midlands based team with a new and dedicated regional team for the North West.”

I know it’s become acceptable to wear a suit and open-necked shirt around the city (ever since a long hot summer a few years ago, when we all relaxed and didn’t resume when the weather cooled); and a rugged unshaven appearance can look manly; and a relaxed pose looks more natural than standing to attention.
But having your PR photo done like this, in the office corridor, really is the pits.
