LNT seeks permission for 66-bed Winsford care home
Located off Littler Lane and comprising a single “dilapidated dwelling”, the 2.3-acre site could be brought back into use as homes for the elderly by the experienced provider.
LNT Care Developments has submitted proposals to Cheshire West and Cheshire Council for a 66-bed care home in Winsford.
The developer, which claims to have delivered 250 care homes in the last 20 years, has cited a current and growing need for specialist accommodation for the local area’s ageing population.
A planning statement submitted alongside the application states: “There is an undersupply of high-quality care beds within the locality, which is set to increase further over time, increasing the importance of accommodating and supporting the proposed development.”
The care home would rise to three-storeys and much of the site would be retained as landscaped gardens. LNT would provide 25 car parking spaces.

Elsewhere in the borough, LNT had plans for a similar scheme in Ellesmere Port approved last year.
