Interiors complete at Freshfields office
TP Bennett has completed the interiors for law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s global centre at One New Bailey, Salford.
The 64,000 sq ft office is the Magic Circle firm’s first long-term property outside London within the UK and since July has been filling up with Freshfields staff, with around 450 employees now in place.
Leigh Dimelow, director and head of Manchester office for TP Bennett, said: “Freshfields has demonstrated a commitment to Manchester in One New Bailey and has chosen this city to implement one of its most progressive interior designs.
“We have worked closely with stakeholders and management teams to deliver a space that upholds the firm’s strong, global brand but within a concept that is innovative and gives a nod towards today’s creative industries. One New Bailey is a showcase for legal firms of the future and of how workplace interiors have become an integral element of a company’s character.”
Overbury was responsible for delivery of the five-month fit-out programme. Peter Knight, managing director of the Manchester office, said: “Championed by a forward-thinking client, this project has created an office that aligns culture, communication and collaboration.
“The finished product will now go on to shape a much more progressive approach to workplace design and fit out for Freshfields’ property portfolio.”
The professional team also included Gardiner & Theobald on project management, cost management and CDM, Anderson Martin on internal project management, Cundall as consulting engineer, Office Move Guys as furniture consultant and MiX as AV and IT consultant.
