Go Outdoors inks beefed-up Cheshire lease

The outdoor clothing retailer has signed for an additional 10-year term at Delin Property’s 353,000 sq ft distribution centre in Middlewich, where it plans to add additional storage space.

Under the lease renewal agreement, Go Outdoors Retail – part of JD Sports Fashion – plans to build a 120,000 sq ft double height mezzanine floor within the warehouse.

Rob Reiskin, chief executive of Delin Property, said: “We’re delighted Go Outdoors and JD Sports
are committed to staying in this great location on the M6 corridor.

“We actively manage all our assets, working closely with tenants to meet their needs. The mezzanine floor will support the tenant’s growing demand for space and cements their commitment to the area.”

Go Outdoors’ cross-docked facility, which includes 27,474 sq ft of office space, is located next to Ma6nitude, an established distribution hub that is home to B&M Retail, Wincanton, among others.

The property, previously occupied by drinks distributor Keuhne + Nagel, was fully refurbished in 2019, four years after Go Outdoors signed its initial five-year lease.
