Fortis sticks with Salford Quays resi

Fortis Developments has submitted a planning application to Salford City Council for 645 flats on Furness Quays, including retention of Furness House and Custom House.

The development cost for Furness Quay is put at £200m. The architect is Bowman Riley.

As well as recladding Furness House and Custom House there will be additional blocks with the tallest of 27 floors.

Custom House will get a six-storey roof extension. There will be a new avenue created through the heart of the development and new gardens and parks.

The contractor is Beaumont Morgan, which was acquired last year by fortis. Fortis is already working on another apartment scheme in Salford Quays, at Adelphi Wharf.
