Finalists announced for North West Regional Construction Awards

Winners will be revealed during the 20th annual ceremony celebrating construction excellence on 2 July at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.

The North West Regional Construction Awards puts the spotlight on the contractors, clients, and project teams behind some of the most impressive developments in the region. The awards recognises not just the physical achievement of delivering a great project, but also where teams have excelled in delivering social value and sustainability goals.

NWRCA is a joint initiative from Construction Excellence and the University of Salford’s School of Science, Engineering, and Environment. It is produced and managed by Clear, with A&B Engineering as the headline sponsor this year. Place North West is also a sponsor of the awards.

Winners from the North West will be eligible to claim a national prize at the Constructing Excellence Awards in November.

Peter McDermott, a professor of construction procurement at the University of Salford, is the head judge for the competition. He described this year as a “milestone” for NWRCA, which received a record number of submissions.

McDermott said: “Hitting the 20-year mark is an incredible achievement and proof itself of how the awards continue to showcase the positive impact the construction sector contributes to communities across the North West.

“In 2026, the focus is on both process and outcomes – for example social impact, sustainability and collaboration. We commend this shortlist – the Constructing Excellence principles demonstrated by the applicants give confidence that the industry is a strong place.”
