Colliers promotes four in Manchester

James Preston, James Barrett, Alan Wales and Cameron Reekie have all secured promotions within the firm.

Preston moves to director with the National Capital Markets team. He previously worked for Aitchison Raffety, WHR Property Consultants and Cushman & Wakefield before joining Colliers in 2016.

Barrett is now associate director with the Valuations & Advisory Services team. He began his career at Colliers as a graduate in September 2017.

Wales is now associate director with the Project & Building Consultancy team. He has been with the company since June 2019 and previously worked for CBRE from 2014 to 2019 as a chartered building surveyor.

Reekie is now senior surveyor with the Project & Building Consultancy team. He has worked for Colliers since graduating from Northumbria University in 2017.

Dominic Pozzoni, head of Colliers’ Manchester office, praised the four who have been promoted.

“The greatest strength of our Manchester office is our people, and I am so pleased to see the hard work of these four exceptional candidates being recognised through our latest round of promotions,” he said.

In total, Colliers has announced 84 promotions across the business.

Across the whole of the UK business, 15 have been promoted to director, 28 to associate director, 22 to senior surveyor and 19 to senior business support roles.

“Recognising our people in this way is important,” said Tony Horrell, Colliers’ chief executive for UK & Ireland.

He went on to explain what the promotions mean for the company.

“Not only does it reinforce our commitment to growing our diverse talent from within, but it also gives our successful candidates the recognition they deserve.”

Colliers is marketing a residential development, Wavelength, on behalf of DeTrafford at a 1.2-acre site in Salford Quays.

The project, which gained planning permission in December 2019, will comprise 421 one-two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 4,400 sq ft of ground floor commercial space.
