Architects picked for Bury sixth form building

Bolton-based architects and engineers Bradshaw Gass and Hope have been appointed to design a new £3.3m teaching block for Holy Cross College in Bury.

The college plans to buy an adjacent site to the existing centre and demolish the current two-storey building before erecting a 15,000 sq ft three-storey block and refurbishing other smaller buildings.

Bradshaw Gass & Hope has already worked on earlier phases of the college's redevelopment on Manchester Road.

The latest contract, worth £211,000, covers architectural, structural engineering, site inspections, cost consultant, planning and mechanical and electrical services.

BGH said no images were yet available for the new sixth form college.
