Julian Cobley has been named regional accounts director for local government in the North West with the global property consultancy.

Cobley joins Arcadis from Equans, where he was partnership director. He will work from Arcadis’ Warrington office.

Regarding his position at Arcadis, Cobley said: “I’m really looking forward to working with local and regional government leaders throughout the North West who are seizing the opportunity to overcome complex societal and environmental challenges, creating great places and improving quality of life for their communities.”

Keith Hobden, the local government sector leader at Arcadis, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Julian into our business, which builds on our strong regional presence in local government and our commitment to the North of the country.

“Julian will work alongside our City Executive for the North, Richard Bonner, bringing solutions to our clients to support them in response to the rising challenges that we are seeing across the sector.”

Arcadis offers design, engineering and management consultancy services. It has 17 offices in the UK, including in Cumbria, and Manchester. Arcadis is the project manager for Manchester Airport’s £1bn transformation programme.
