Erlam, Taylor establish Nuovo Capital Advisory
Aimed at providing strategic advice on development funding to investors, developers, and the public sector, the firm is headed up by ex-L&G director Wes Erlam and former Peel man Iain Taylor.
Nuovo Capital Advisory, whose clients include Property Alliance Group and Bankfoot APAM, will work with firms trying to deliver complex development and regeneration projects to find funding solutions.
“Complex development and regeneration projects increasingly require more than simply finding a lender or investor,” the company said.
“They require a clear understanding of the underlying development proposition, stakeholder objectives, public-sector requirements, the appropriate capital structure and what investors and funders will actually support.”
Nuovo will also advise clients on accessing newer sources of funding, including the National Housing Bank and Greater Manchester’s Good Growth Fund, form part of a
Erlam set up Nuovo Capital Advisory’s precursor, Nuovo Consulting on his own in 2020. Prior to that he was managing director of urban regeneration at L&G.
Since leaving Peel after eight years in 2015, Taylor has held several senior management consultant roles including at Polaris, AMION, and IMT. Experienced real estate expert Chris Dougray, former head of development for CBRE in Scotland, is on board as a strategic advisor.
