Ainscough stacks up 1,000-home plan
Ainscough Strategic Land has revealed the location of three North West deals that could deliver 1,000 homes in the region.
The Leigh company was set up by Martin Ainscough in 2007 following the sale of Ainscough Crane Hire to work with landowners to promote their land through the planning system. The three sites are:
- 46 acres on the edge of Farndon, within Cheshire West & Chester
- 90 acres at Delph Farm on the edge of Warrington
- 8 acres in the Chester commuter village of Christleton
All three sites are now under contract, along with a further ten being progressed through legals elsewhere in the UK, the company said.
ASL’s land director David O’Reilly said: “North West housebuilders remain keen to ensure a pipeline of consented sites and look to businesses like ours to deliver that for them, even in challenging times like these” he said.
“There’s a lot of work to do in terms of consultation and masterplanning on each of the sites but we’re well on with the task and look forward to firming up our proposals in due course.”
Other sites ASL is working in include plots in Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire and Worcestershire.
O’Reilly concluded: “Despite the headwinds out there, housebuilders remain confident. Given the housing sector’s contribution to jobs and wider economic growth, this is good to see.
“Our in-houuse skills, together with support from knowledgeable and experienced consultants, means we have a 95% success rate with sites we put forward for planning permission.”
