Waterman hires net zero expert

Dave Allen has been appointed technical director and will provide the company’s clients with advice on due diligence, responsible investment and climate resilience.

An environmental management expert, Allen spent the last five-and-a-half years as an associate director at RSK Group.

There, he managed the company’s environmental, health and safety and carbon teams, providing advice to clients on how to measure and understand their carbon footprints.

Prior to joining RSK, Allen was the principal environmental consultant at Royal HaskoningDHV for the final four years of an eight-and-a-half year stint at the Dutch practice.

At Waterman, Allen will provide expertise on carbon management and emission reduction plans for clients. He will be based out of the company’s Manchester office at South Central on Peter Street.

Andrew Ferguson, Waterman’s managing director of infrastructure and environment, said: “Dave is joining us at a pivotal time as we help our clients plot a course to a net zero future.

“His depth of expertise and leadership credentials will see him play a central role in delivering vital support for organisations of all types. With his drive and passion for climate action, I’m certain that Dave will be a key figure in our expanding team and I look forward to working with him.”
