Select hires to procurement team

Jon Walker has been appointed procurement manager for Select Property Group, joining the company’s growing development team from Barratt.

He joins with 18 years’ experience at the housebuilder, where he was most recently group procurement manager.

Select is continuing to expand its development pipeline, with 11 in planning and development, and more to be announced across the UK.

Based at Select’s head office in Alderley Edge, Walker will work with the development team to deliver consistency and drive value across the Select’s brands; providing processes and systems to enable efficient purchasing and support how the business is run.

Select has three property brands in its portfolio, with Vita Student, CitySuites and Affinity Living projects across the country.

Since 2014, Select has delivered 2,000 properties, and generated rental revenue of £40m. Before 2020, it plans to deliver a further 7,500 units.
