Seddon Homes submits plans for 89 houses

A mix of detached and semi-detached properties would be delivered under the housebuilder’s proposals for the eight-acre site off Mount St James in Knuzden, near Blackburn.

Woodcroft Design designed the scheme on behalf of Seddon Homes. Plans feature 16 two-, 21 four-, and 52 three-bedroom houses.

Of the 89 houses, 18 would be affordable.

Proposals also include the creation of an access point off Mount St James.

Residents will have access to a total of 199 car parking spaces with private driveways and garages, as well as off-road parking provision.

Pinnacle Planning is the scheme’s planning consultant. I-Transport is the transport consultant. Trevor Bridge Associates is the landscape architect.

The project team also includes noise consultant E3P, arboricultural consultant Mulberry Tree Management, and ecological consultant Envirotech.

Hyndburn Council will be considering this application despite the site lying only 500m away from the boundary for Blackburn with Darwen Council.

The plans can be found by searching for application number 11/23/0207 on Hyndburn Council’s planning portal.
