Ryden opens in Manchester
The Scottish-headquartered property consultancy has expanded into the North West as it looks to grow across England.
Ryden offers agency and investment services, along with building surveying, planning, project management along with valuation, rates and rent reviews. In 2015 it cemented its presenve in Leeds by merging with Hill Woolhouse, before opening a London office in December 2016 by merging with Mason Philips. The firm’s other offices are in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee.
The office will be led by investment agent Andrew Richardson, who joins from Capita where he was head of the northern development and investment team. Assets he has acted on the sale or acquisition of in the past include Sunlight House and the Manchester Arena.
Bill Duguid, managing partner of Ryden, said: “This new Manchester office reinforces our drive to expand our presence in England. Our aim is to provide clients across the UK with access to the partner-level expert advice we are known for. We currently have over £500m of property assets under management in England.
“London and Manchester are arguably the UK’s most active property markets and represent huge opportunities for Ryden and our clients.”
Ryden said that its London and Manchester ventures are expected to increase the firm’s English investment activity five-fold over the next two years. It has taken space at 28 King Street.
