Rowland progresses Widnes garden centre redevelopment
Part of Notcutss Rivendell Garden Centre off Mill Lane is the subject of plans for 108 homes.
Rowland Homes has lodged plans with Halton Council for the 10-acre scheme, which would be constructed on land currently occupied by glasshouses associated with the garden centre.
The homes would be a mix of two-, three-, and four-bed properties, with 25% designated as affordable.
The site is undesignated in Halton’s local plan but equates to a “logical extension of the urban area”, according to planning consultant Stantec.
MPSL is advising on design. To learn more about the proposals, search for reference number 25/00444/FUL on Halton Council’s planning portal.
Rowland is among the most active housebuilders in the region at present. In recent weeks and months, the developer has lodged plans for projects in Chorley, Mickle Trafford, Brinscall, and Bolton.
