Redrow plots 22,800 sq ft of offices in Daresbury

The scheme is part of the housebuilder’s wider masterplan in the area, which has approval for up to 550 homes and more than 160,000 sq ft of employment floorspace.

Redrow Homes is aiming to build four offices on more than two acres of greenfield bordered by the Daresbury Expressway, Keckwick Lane, and the Cheshire-Manchester railway line. Each of the two-storey office buildings would be 5,700 sq ft.

Outline permission was granted for the offices in 2018 by Halton Council.

Paul Murray, head of planning for Redrow in the North West, said: “This is the next stage in the natural progression of this development, seeking detailed approval for employment use in a small portion of the site, which already has an outline consent.”

Under the plans in the reserved matters application, the site would have 72 car parking spaces, including eight accessible ones and two designed EV charging spaces. There would also be 24 cycle spaces.

Landscape plans from Trevor Bridge Associates include the planting of 38 trees and other soft landscaping, including wildflowers and hedgerows.

Gerald Eve is the planner on the project. TEP is the ecological consultant and SCP is the transport planner. Other project team members include Hepworth Acoustics, air quality consultant Bureau Veritas and flood risk expert Betts Hydro.

Only 2 EV charging spaces? Not even enough for 1 per office so they’ll be a right scrap over those.
