Everlast plans 26,000 sq ft gym at Trafford Palazzo

The operator is in talks with Peel Group to take space within the 330,000 sq ft leisure and retail complex.

Everlast is eyeing unit C7 within Trafford Palazzo, which is currently vacant.

Subject to finalising a deal with Peel, Everlast would open a 26,000 sq ft gym featuring 15,700 sq ft on the ground floor and a 10,000 sq ft mezzanine.

Plans lodged with Trafford Council seek permission to increase the amount of non-retail space within the complex to accommodate the gym.

A planning statement prepared by WSP states that “creating a space for an Everlast gym forms part of Peel’s ongoing efforts to ensure that Trafford Palazzo offers a varied retail and leisure offering, and that its facilities continue to respond to the evolving needs of visitors and the local community”.

Everlast would join Archie’s Atomic, Sealife, King Pins, and Primark at Trafford Palazzo, which Peel is seeking to position as more than a retail destination.

Nerf Action Experience operates a 35,000 sq ft venue at the asset formerly known as Barton Square but is currently closed.

Meanwhile, interactive football experience Walljam is in talks to take 37,000 sq ft at Trafford Palazzo, a deal first reported by Place North West in 2022.
