Puttstars signs up at Rochdale Riverside
The golf concept by Hollywood Bowl Group has agreed a deal for 20,000 sq ft at the retail-led scheme, joining tenants including Next, M&S, River Island, JD Sports, and H&M.
The leisure brand will open in a unit below the planned six-screen Reel cinema and will feature three themed nine-hole golf courses. Four restaurant units will open below Puttstars, and together these make up the planned leisure block on Constantine Road.
Willmott Dixon is currently on site at the ÂŁ80m development, set to deliver 200,000 sq ft of retail and leisure. Genr8 is the developer while M&G has forwarded funded the project.
Occupiers to agree deals so far include H&M, which has taken 22,500 sq ft; River Island; Boots; M&S; Next; and JD Sports. Other units range from 1,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft.
Handover is set for spring 2020. Lambert Smith Hampton are the retained agents; director Tim Letts said: “This is a brilliant addition to the Riverside development. Hollywood Bowl will create an entertainment destination that will support the cinema offering and create a real hub for the town.
“We are continuing to market the remaining space throughout the scheme as we forge ahead to completion in the spring of 2020. Interest remains significant and we are confident we are creating an exciting tenant mix for the scheme.”
