Places Matter! seeks design review members
The publicly funded architecture and built environment centre for the North West is seeking ten new design review panel members.
Places Matter! said it is specifically looking to attract individuals with expertise in community planning, economic development and developers.
The organisation said members would participate in helping the North West to achieve "the highest standard of good design" and will be asked to sit on a full panel at least once a year for a full day.
The design review panel looks at a wide variety of proposed schemes in the North West from masterplans, to individual buildings, community forest designs, public realm and built environment policy documents, as well as doing reviews on health facilities, residential schemes, schools, retail and office buildings amongst others.
Places Matter! works across the public and private sectors to drive up the skills and knowledge of all those involved in new development, promoting good design and encouraging strong client leadership.
Steven Broomhead, former chief executive of the North West Development Agency, helped establish the Places Matter! Design Review Panel in 2007.
The closing date for applications is Friday 11 March. To request an application form call Places Matter! on 0151 703 0135 or email info@placesmatter.co.uk
