Place North West revamps app
Our app has received a vibrant refresh just in time for tomorrow’s Lancashire Development Update, improving user experience and expanding its horizons beyond events.
We have kept what made the old app great, while adding new features to make it a valuable asset to any Place reader.
Place is about community, so it is only fitting that our app now includes options to connect with and message other users, beyond just events. Previously the app was for event delegates only, now anyone can access it and benefit from its numerous features.

The Place North West app is ready to become your go-to source for all things Place, whether that’s the provocative Subplot column, our dynamic video site tours, or thought-provoking podcasts. You will find links to all our content on the app, so you can easily navigate to the news and thought leadership you need.
As in the previous version, the Place North West app really comes to life during our events. Those attending our conferences will be able to access the day’s agenda, speaker biographies, and attendee list. You will also be able to submit your questions to our expert panels by using the Sli.do feature.
Using an app allows us to increase the sustainability factor of our events by enabling us to save on paper.
Regarding the reinvigorated app, Laura Davies, event director for Place, said: “Introducing the Place North West app in 2019 was integral to our sustainability plan and enhancing the event experience.
“We’re now excited to expand this into a community app that can be used in bigger and better ways to connect with property professionals from the North West.”
How to get the Place North West app
- Go to your phone’s app store
- Search ‘Place North West’
- Download the app
- Open the app, and click ‘Sign up’. You will need to enter your work email address to access the entirety of the app
- After signing up, select the Place North West community at the top of the page.
