Peel prepares Lightbox launch

Peel Land & Property has set a 2019 completion date for the next phase of residential development at MediaCityUK in Salford, and is launching a 19-storey block designed by AHR Architects to market later this month.

The Lightbox will be made up of a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments on a waterside plot, overlooking MediaCityUK, and Salford Quays.

Peel secured reserved matters approval in March for part of the next stage of development at MediaCityUK. Two residential elements were granted detailed permission, designed by AHR Architects. The Lightbox is the first phase.

Flats within the Lightbox will be available to buy from Wednesday 11 May.

Lightbox residents will benefit from a full concierge service, car parking spaces as well as bike storage facilities.

The Lightbox development is expected to be completed in early 2019, with prices starting at £134,000.

Stephen Wild, managing director of MediaCityUK, said: “Lightbox will bring an exciting addition to the residential offering at MediaCityUK and is already attracting interest from investors and owner occupiers alike.

“The light, airy contemporary style makes the apartments extremely attractive and coupled with the fact they are on the doorstep of some of the UK’s biggest sporting and media attractions such as the BBC, Coronation Street and Manchester United, it only adds to their appeal.”

MediaCityUK is delivered in a joint venture between Peel and Legal & General.
