One Vision secures £180m NatWest deal
The housing provider plans to use the funds to build 1,100 affordable homes by 2025.
One Vision Housing seeks to deliver good quality, affordable homes in order to combat high housing costs.
As part of The Sovini Group, One Vision is striving for net zero carbon emissions. Installing low-carbon heating and smart metres is part of the approach the company will take for new-builds, as well as putting in charging points for electric vehicles.
Plans for the £180m finance deal from NatWest also include the decarbonisation of some of the 13,600 properties already owned and managed by One Vision across Cheshire, Liverpool, Sefton, West Lancashire, and Wirral.
Ian Mitchell, managing director of housing at The Sovini Group, said: “We are thrilled to have received this funding from NatWest, who share our vision of a better future for local communities.
“At the group, we are driven by our mission to create opportunities and change lives, and this funding will enable hundreds of people to take their first step onto the property ladder while providing hundreds more with affordable quality rental properties.”
Martin Skinner, relationship manager for real estate finance at NatWest, said: “NatWest is dedicated to supporting our customers, colleagues, and communities in Merseyside and across the North West.
“The work that One Vision Housing is doing to create more affordable and sustainable homes across the region is of vital importance, helping communities to thrive and creating sustainable homes for the future.”
If the photo is an example of the intended homes then “how boring”, they might be ok for a suburban location but a complete no for any inner areas, we really need to insist on proper ,terraced ,town-housing in the central neighbourhoods ,along with the high-rise.
