Langtree buys Warrington business centre

Commercial property specialist Langtree has acquired an 80,000 sq ft office and serviced business centre in Warrington.

St James Court, on the A49 close to the town centre, is home to 30 businesses. It has been sold by administrators handling subsidiaries of the Targetfollow property group.

It also has a restaurant, meeting rooms, conferencing facilities, a children's nursery and parking.

Newton-le-Willows-based Langtree, which is controlled by Bill Ainscough, will rebrand the site as the St James Business Centre.

Managing director John Downes said: "There are good buying opportunities in the market at the moment and we are currently looking at a number of acquisitions nationwide, but being based in the area we are delighted to be investing in our local economy.

"Despite the wider economic conditions, each of our existing business centres is well occupied and we pride ourselves on making sure that every property in our portfolio is both well-presented and provides first class facilities for all types of businesses."

Langtree was represented by the Manchester office of WHR Property Consultants. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
