Arley brings forward another Altrincham site

Arley Homes is on site with 23 family homes at Stamford Brook in Altrincham. Heathfields, on the corner of Sinderland Road and Barlow Road, will include a mixture of three-, four- and five-bedroom mews, semi-detached and detached properties.

The site once housed a local authority care home which was demolished by the council last year and is opposite the Waitrose store and off the A56.

Arley boss John Cosgrave said he expected Heathfields to be as popular as the firm's Dunham Chase development which was sold mostly off plan earlier this year without a show home.

Cosgrave added: "Altrincham and the Cheshire borders have always been hugely popular with buyers who want to live in a nice area with good schools and amenities, but which is also commutable, particularly to the city centre. Following the huge success of our Dunham Chase development in Altrincham town centre, we were very keen to build here again. We identified this site and have worked with the local authority to design a scheme that will sit well in its surroundings and offer a well thought out mixture of properties which is right for the local market."

The development will feature six of Arley's house types. Each will have a garden and at least two off road parking spaces and garage.

Properties will be released for sale off plan by Christmas, and completed for moving in by next spring.

This is the fourth Arley scheme to start recently, with work ongoing in Wilmslow, Nantwich, and Heath Charnock. The Warrington-based house builder is also negotiating over another four sites across the North West.

Cosgrave added: "We are pleased that the successful sales of homes across Lancashire, Cheshire and Trafford has put us in the position of being able to buy new land and develop new opportunities. We hope to continue in this vein and would be keen to speak to other landowners wanting to realise their assets."
