New Anwyl Homes division acquires first site

Anwyl Homes has exchanged contracts with Prescot Business Park for the purchase of more than nine acres of land in Prescot, Merseyside, for a £23m residential development.

Formerly the Prysmian Cable Factory, the site on Carr Lane will be the first project for the housebuilder’s recently established Lancashire division, and forms part of the wider Prescot Park development that will eventually total 750 homes and open space.

Anwyl’s homes will be a mix of two-storey three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached properties for sale.

Managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire, John Grime, said: “The plans for the development are really exciting and we are confident that our first venture in the area will be well received. Prescot is a fantastic location to live, providing many facilities as well as having excellent communication being accessible to the nearby motorway network and wider thriving Liverpool area.”

Andrew Little Associates acted for Prescot Park.

Construction is expected to commence in early 2018, with the development taking around four years to complete. Anwyl Homes anticipates having a sales presence and show home on site by the spring.

Anwyl Group has three divisions; Anwyl Homes, Anwyl Construction and Anwyl Land, based in North Wales.
