Miller Homes appoints North West directors
Jonathan Steggles has been named land director, while David Atherton is the new commercial director at the housebuilder’s North West office.
Steggles has more than ten years of experience, having previously worked for Bellway and Redrow. Steggles will be responsible for identifying new opportunities in the region and negotiating land deals.
“This has been a very positive move in my career and I am looking forward to joining Miller Homes,” Steggles said. “The company offered an established, hard-working, and well-cared for team, as well as an attractive working environment with results that speak for themselves.”
Atherton worked for more than 17 years with Wainhomes. In his new role at Miller Homes, he will manage the commercial team of quantity surveyors, buyers and estimators. Atherton will be charged with growing the team while still delivering high-quality homes in the North West.
“I look forward to working with the team and taking the business in a positive direction,” Atherton said. “The company is on a positive trajectory in the North West and I am pleased to be a part of the team as it continues to grow.”
Miller Homes North West managing director Ian Smith said he was “delighted” to have Atherton and Steggles join the company.
“We are in a strong position in the North West and are looking to build on this by actively seeking new land and opportunities in order to offer our award-winning homes to more buyers in the region, as we grow the business further,” he said.
Miller Homes has several large schemes in the North West, including 287 homes in Widnes, 162 houses in Halewood and 224 homes on The Manchester College’s Northenden campus.
