Martin Property Group hires acquisitions director
Phil Crowther has joined the company’s UK living division, teaming up with former Lambert Smith Hampton colleague Ian Scott.
Scott joined Martin Property Group as the managing director of its UK living division in May, leaving LSH after nine years. Crowther is Scott’s first hire.
“Phil has always had an exceptional eye for finding potential sites and buildings, so he was a very natural choice to join us,” said Scott.
Crowther left his role as director at LSH after almost four years with the company.
As acquisitions director, his main responsibility at MPG will be to buy land and building in the North West to support the company’s aim of delivering 1,000 build-to-rent homes in the next two years.
“It’s a compelling proposition that really maximises the BtR potential in the North West, so it’s a pivotal and exciting time to join the business,” Crowther said.
Crowther has also had stints in similar roles at Churchill Retirement Living and Story Homes.
MPG aims to appoint 10 people appointed to the UK living division by the end of this year.
