Lidl eyes fourth Warrington location
Pinners Brow Retail Park could welcome a new tenant as the discount retailer has lodged plans to deliver a 23,400 sq ft supermarket.
Designed by Studio 91 Architecture, the scheme would see Lidl occupy two units at the shopping park off Haydock Street to deliver a store with a 16,300 sq ft sales area.
These units are currently occupied by Carpet Right and The Jungle, a soft-play area.
Plans will also see the existing 15,300 sq ft Sofology store cut down to 7,600 sq ft and occupied by The Jungle.
Wickes DIY is also at Pioneers Brow Retail Park and would remain untouched by the proposals.
Visitors would have access to a total of 204 car parking spaces, including 12 disabled and two electric vehicle charging bays.
Plan A is the scheme’s planning consultant. Also on the project team is transport consultant SCP, engineering consultant Beam Consulting, and environmental consultant Remada.
Lidl currently operates three stores in Warrington. These stores are located off Fennel Street, Old Liverpool Road, and Thelwall Lane.
