Landmark reveals mixed-use Heald Green scheme
Developer Landmark Property Group has submitted plans for a 4,000 sq ft Co-op store with eight two-bedroom apartments fronting Wilmslow Road.
The proposals, now with Stockport Council, are for a 4,000 sq ft retail store, with the apartments above on the site, which formerly housed a car showroom and garage. Landmark hopes to be on site at the 204-210 Wilmslow Road site in autumn.
Hale-based B2 Architecture has designed the scheme, with Nexus Planning also advising. Civil engineer Bell Munro and transport consultancy Ashton Helme are also on the professional team.
Previous schemes delivered by Landmark include a Calderpeel-designed townhouses project close to Altrincham Retail Park and a development on a former bowling green called The Pavilion. The business was started by managing director Konrad Keller after he sold an e-commerce business in 2014 – he also previously took large sites through planning for housebuilders including Taylor Wimpey and Redrow.
Keller told Place North West that further developments are in the pipeline: “We’ve completed abd sold our various schemes, which have picked up several awards, and now we’ve got various projects at different stages that we look forward to moving ahead with.”

Awful looking building. Not sympathetic to the surrounding houses. Very disappointing.
